Spirit Releasement
Spirit Releasement is the process of helping an entity out of a body where it does not belong. “Clearing” and “depossession” are other terms for the same process. Sharing your body with another entity, a “Suffering Being,” is very common. Suffering Beings are soul essences whose physical bodies have died and, for a variety of reasons, the soul essence refused or failed to successfully cross out of the physical world in the natural process.
If a Suffering Being enters while the client host is young, it may go completely unnoticed by the host, family or friends. At other times, the person or their friends and family may notice a significant, sudden, and unexplained change in behavior. A common symptom of hosting a Suffering Being is the unexplained, significant amplification of a negative emotion, such as anger, depression, fear, guilt, etc., beyond the normal for the given circumstances. Some people describe the feeling of “going away” when this takes place. Family or friends may say that it’s as if someone else is suddenly there for a period of time. Sometimes a person will exhibit sudden addictions or manifest the symptoms of illness without any ascertainable cause.
Suffering Beings can enter a host’s body through the natural defenses when there has been significant soul loss. A person may also be more vulnerable at particular times, such as if they do drugs or drink to the point of losing consciousness, are under general anesthesia, during a major illness, when they are very tired and depleted for weeks or longer, or when they are experiencing strong negative emotions such as rage or fear. Moreover, some types of people are particularly attractive to suffering beings – healers, psychics, mediums, and people with especially warm and bright heart lights. Children and adolescents are easy for Suffering Beings to enter.
I practice the heart-centered spirit releasement method developed and taught by Betsy Bergstrom. During the session, the client is awake, aware, and consulted at each step of the process. Rather than “casting out” the Suffering Being, leaving it in the physical world, I engage him or her in a dialogue, using the client’s voice and body. We work in a cooperative process that allows the Suffering Being to exit the client’s body easily and cross out of the physical world in a natural and peaceful manner. I work with the beings of light that assist all soul energy to cross over. The client participates in the dialogue and the exodus of the Suffering Being in a way that is very healing for the client.
